Need a new laptop

So my one laptop is pretty much dead. It still works... marginally. Basically it'll turn on and work long enough for me to transfer some of the important things to an external hard drive. The Q, W, 3, and 4 keys don't work. Fan don't work so it overheats. Case is cracked in several places and on the left side screen hinge. And is a slow poor running POS. 

My mother tried to be nice and picked up a chromebook for me thinking I could use it to do some business things for us. Yeah it's pretty much a worthless pile of cloud based shit with no real internal storage it can't even support something as simple and basic as paint. It's uses seem to be limited to browsing the web and typing basic documents. And the touch pad doesn't even have a right click function. 

So I need to get something that isn't bare bones garbage. I'd like to be able to start using adobe premiere and some drafting programs without crashing. And start playing some games might be nice. I'm completely lost as to what I'd need what the specs on these damn things mean etc.

Wait for the Black Friday ads to come out before you make a decision on it. You are bound to find something in your price range around then. And whatever you pick, setup the PC PS2 emulator on it and give xlink a shot with it.

Sounds like to me Alienware may be right up your Alley.. They are bit high on the price scale, but no doubt the best gaming all around lap tops made.

If you click the link above you'll notice it's pretty much out of stock. I payed $800 or $900 for it and that's what they're asking for a used one right now.

Overall though I'd suggest just browsing amazon, googling the laptop and specs. Then if you're interested in gaming well laptops aren't the best for it. I needed portability and gaming was a side to me. I can barley run pubg and most recent releases are a no go. Plus PC gaming isn't that fun to me after trying it.
