I don't get the Skype stuff. Can someone please explain it to me and why I might want it. Is it a video chat?

Basically, look at it as using the PS3's chat-room feature. Open mic for all in the room.....except with no lag! It also has an actual text chat like any other Instant Messenger, so you can get all your socom buddies together and be able to communicate without needing to open the mic channel in-game. pretty nifty.....if you have friends who use it. I do not, lol.
I'm ChainFire-X on skype....big surprise. I don't really use it cause i dont have enough people to use it with, but if i were to join you guys in a game sometime, i might actually make use of it! lol.
EDIT: Yea, you can video too. So, Text, Audio, and video but most commonly just use Audio.

Sounds alright, I try to stay away from this sort of stuff, but I might have to try it if you guys are on it.

Its cool when it works, no doubt about that. Only problem is you cant have mic in socom then....unless you're wearing two mics (which I've done LOL) and then it can get confusing.
