My email to Zipper's assistant Producer Cade Myers Empty My email to Zipper's assistant Producer Cade Myers

"Hey Cade,

I met you at E3, I bothered you guys at zipper for 2 days for the signed artwork for Socom 4. Thanks again by the way.

I have always liked Zipper's innovative approach to making games. I am very sad to see the changes made to Socom 4 and I think I will try the beta but most likely I will avoid buying it. I stayed away from the COD and Modern Warfare series because I hate the features in them. They cater to the emo generation too much, everything handed to them with no challenge. Now I see Socom 4 is nearly mirroring the game play just with a 3rd person camera view and losing the option to make a true Socom room to play in...well I am disappointed to say the least.

I want to keep this brief and I will continue to follow Zipper but Socom 4 should be renamed, it is no longer the same game. Socom 1 and 2 were golden, if you guys could make the same options available from those and then add the emo stuff as options....everyone wins.

thanks for your time and maybe I'll see you at E3 this year.

A*** K*****"

Please no backlash guys, this is just my opinion. I love the Socom series and I want Zipper to continue it, not make a copy of other games. This was meant to be a constructive email, nothing to be rude or tear down.

thanks for reading.

I hope that Cade replies. I talked to him for 2 days
quite a bit at E3 last June. Everyone at Zipper seemed
awesome and very interested in what the fans were saying.
With all the latest coming out about Socom 4 now I can see
it was all smoke up the fans ass. I really do wish game devs
would stop pissing on our legs at the same time they are
telling us it's raining.

This is MAG-continued if you ask me. They slap the Socom
name on it and know people will buy it because of the franchise.

sad sad sad

Honestly man, I don't see any of the comparisons to Modern Warfare at all. Yes this has a MAG feel to it but that is due to the fact that they used the MAG engine. If Sony took the time to develop a new engine of course they are going to use it. Also keep in mind that a lot of the changes were made due to feedback generated through years of fans, not just recently. Trust me they have not ruined the game at all. I got that SoCrack in my veins and I barely got a taste. This game is amazingly addicting. Its a huge step forward in the shooter platform. Remember, most of the guys complaining have never even seen the game. They just like to whine lol

Are you in the media scratch ? I got the Modern Warfare comparison from the dual primaries and similar TPV/OTS zoom. Other than that, the other features are shared with tons of games, and the reason it looks so much like MAG is because the character models are almost identical to Valor.

You have to admit, the respawn mode + the XP system + the sabotage mode seems to be exactly like MAG. Oh well, excited for classic and MAG I can kick some COD scrub ass in respawn when I get bored.

I have seen enough to know I'm mad, but I have also seen enough to know I'm going to like it more then any other shooter this year.
