SOCOM 4 vs SOCOM Confrontation

I saw a few threads kicking around Socom.com today and I responded to one with my reasons why I feel Socom 4 and Con can't really be held in the same shooter category. Socom 4 is so much different and doesn't resemble Socom IMO. Yeah it may say Socom 4 on the box but IMO it's not a Socom game. Socom Confrontation from a traditional Socom game stand point has the core and roots that I value in Socom, such as lobbies, Briefing rooms, carried over maps and traditional game modes.

Socom 4 has only one Socom feature carried over and that's suppression which is in every shooter game sold on the PS3.

My point is which game do you prefer and should support for Confrontation be continued because it provides more in game play design that I want in a Socom game vs Socom 4.

Socom 4 has single player and Co op mode which I had alot of fun playing with guys from our Clan, Socom Confrontation didn't.

Any one else want to share their views and give it shot on which game is better. I think Con is a better game all around.

I think Confrontation is way better and I never even played other Socom's. What makes me mad how they had confrontation and they just totally flipped Socom 4 its not even close to Confrontation. That is like COD switching there game to be like Socom its retarded. I really was looking forward to Socom 4 and it was just a big flop. I sold PS3 so I just have wifes PS3 left unless they doing something good to Socom 4 I am not buying PS3 again cause the only reason I even owned one was cause of Socom Confrontation. I played Confrontation for 2 yrs and still had fun I played Socom 4 beta for 3 days and it was retarded.

Confrontation ...... Same here, i had my PS3 when it first came out, and only played a couple time a month, with it, when Confrontation come out i was hooked, my wife used ti get so pissed at me for playn Confrontation, all the time , thats all i would play, no other game out there was as good as Confrontation at that time ..

I thought Confrontation got off to a slow start but with the updates it become a very fun game very much in the same vain as any Socom game. I'm still on the fence with 4, I'm liking it the more I play it but it's not Socom ... Why would Zipper not include the game modes of S2, that to me is a major, major blunder ... An honestly, my attention has shift to B3

they both are rotten games. S:Con had too slow player movements. Just too slow. Slower than any previous socom.

Socom4 isn't even a socom game to me, so somehow confrontation wins. At least confrontation has breach, escort, & extraction. At least Confrontation has pistols!!!!!

I think once Confrontation got passed the early stages of Lag and game log on errors it was a good game for the most part. I admit I hated it at first because it had a sprint button and it was slow. But today that game looks great to me compared to Socom 4.

confrontation is a good game needs some
fixes my game freezes all the time and get
booted on crossroads and the switching round
to other side lag but other than those issues its
good.

socom4 i have yet freezed up or been lagged
out of a game but it needs some major fixes
i'm waiting to see how this tuesdays patch goes.
i'm hoping one day zipper takes their head out
of their asses and adds lobbies cause it sucks ass
trying to play with clan members on same side.
