I think that I have installed and configured xlink and all the network settings but I dont see anyone in the xlink lobby under socom 2. There seems to be at least a thousand people interested in playing this game still does no one get on until late at night/weekends?

So I'm considering checking out this whole Xlink thing. Is there a place where you guys announce days/times you will getting together? Or is it a nightly thing (dare I hope)? Just weekends maybe?

It is mainly weekends but you will find people on Socom 2 more during the week. I prefer the Socom CA servers because they seem to be more stable on Xlink. I played last for about 3 hours and didn't stop well past 1 am. Usually the times are on Fridays and Saturdays after 8 pm Central, this is peak hours.
If anyone needs the map packs for Socom CA all you have to do is use a Flash Drive and download them from www.therealsocom.com Make sure you click on the upper tool bar on downloads and follow the directions.. Once you have them on a USB flash drive make sure you use the upper USB port on your PS2 when you start the game up via LAN.

Thanks Paul!
Also, just a quick question, if i bridge my LAN and Wi-Fi connections, is that going to affect my ability to use my laptop's wi-fi on its own? will i have to "un-bridge" the connection when i finish playing socom?
