that would be the best alternative answer I think.

I've been looking into the SOCOM:JSOC project and I can't find anything except a name of some "Stealth" person who says
he is working on it. I posted in the forums and I got a private message back that some guys are making a retro socom-like
game in hd and they were wondering if I wanted to help with the art side of it. I told them yeah and I am waiting to hear back now.

Ahhhh the promise of hope ....... how likely is this.? I think just pure pressure on zipper is the only way, shut down the ps2 server and set up a new socom 2 ps3 server

that would be great too since I don't like having to use a usb mic which mine broke and I don't want to pay $30 for a new one.
I am still waiting to hear back from the guys about a socom 2-like game though.
