A report from Reuters say that a press conference regarding PlayStation Network's breach in security will be held tomorrow at 2:00 PM local time (Japan).

Sony Executive Deputy President and PlayStation boss Kazuo Hirai will be speaking on the issue, an issue that resulted in stolen personal information, and possibly - although unconfirmed - credit card information from 77 million registered user accounts.

Hirai will also be speaking on the company's information management system and the schedule for when users can expect PlayStation Network to be back up and running again.

Sony announced on Tuesday of the breach in security, warning users that their information may have been stolen, including credit card information. The warning came nearly a week after the actual attack, fueling the anger of many users.

A US law firm has already filed a class action lawsuit against Sony for lack of security measures.

In the United States, the Department of Homeland Security recently revealed that the federal division will be lending a hand to Sony in tracking down the culprit.

"The Department of Homeland Security is aware of the recent cyber intrusion to Sony’s PlayStation Network and Qriocity music service. DHS’ U. S. Computer Emergency Readiness Team is working with law enforcement, international partners and Sony to assess the situation," said DHS' Chris Ortman.

In addition, the Federal Bureau of Investigation will also be helping Sony concerning the attack.

"The FBI is aware of the reports concerning the alleged intrusion into the Sony on line game server and we have been in contact with Sony concerning this matter. We are presently reviewing the available information in an effort to determine the facts and circumstances concerning this alleged criminal activity," said FBI Special Agent Darrell Foxworth.

According to Reuters, Britain's own Information Commissioner's Office will be getting involved in the situation as well. ICO is a government establishment that "uphold information rights in the public interest, promoting openness by public bodies and data privacy for individuals."

"We have recently been informed of an incident which appears to involve Sony. We are contacting Sony and will be making further enquiries to establish the precise nature of the incident before deciding what action, if any, needs to be taken by this office," said an ICO spokeperson.
