If you need help installing Xlink

This is a great video on how to download Xlink Kai. Thank you TRS "Warmachine" for the video. I used this video and was on-line in 20 minutes. If you use a laptop to connect your PS2 make sure it doesn't have windows 8 installed, for some reason Xlink doesn't agree with 8 just yet.

To configure XLink Kai and play SOCOM, follow these steps:
- Go to: http://www.teamxlink.co.uk
- Click 'DOWNLOADS'
- Download XLink Kai for your PC (note the Mac OSX version does not allow for PS2 play).
- Return to: http://www.teamxlink.co.uk
- Click 'SIGN UP'
- Register an account with XLink Kai (Note: Hotmail, MSN, Live, and Yahoo are currently not accepting XLink registration emails. Use something else.)
- Check your email and confirm your registration
- Boot up your PS2 and select 'BROWSER'
- Select your memory card and do not delete the SOCOM data "Map packs", only the network settings.
- Insert SOCOM II: U.S. Navy SEALs and go to 'ONLINE'
- Select 'Edit Network Configurations'
- Select 'Add Setting' & proceed until you reach the 'Select hardware.' screen
- Press TRIANGLE to bring up 'Advanced Settings'
- Copy down the last 4 digits of your MAC Address (example: 00:07:2G:3B:24:17 - write down 24:17)
- Go to: http://www.teamxlink.co.uk/ps2assign.php
- Select 'Sony PlayStation 2' and enter the last 4 digits of your MAC Address that you wrote down earlier and click 'Calculate IP Address'
- Write down your calculated IP Address
- Return to Network Configurations and 'Add Setting'
- At 'Hardware Settings' select 'SCE/Ethernet (Network Adaptor)'
- At 'Use of PPPoE', enter the applicable setting (it is usually 'Not Required')
- At 'IP Address Setup' select 'Manual'
- Enter the IP Address you wrote down earlier
- Enter 255.255.0.0 as your 'Netmask'
- Enter 192.168.0.1 as your 'Default Router' and continue
- At 'DNS Server Address Setup' select 'Auto'
- Name your setting as you wish, continue and hit 'X' to save
To bridge your wireless connection, follow these steps:
- Plug in your ethernet cable to the Laptop/PC and the PS2
- Go to 'Network'
- Select 'Network and Sharing Center'
- Select 'Manage network connections'
- You will see your wifi connection and a Local Area Connection, highlight them both
- After highlighting, right click them and select 'Bridge'
To configure XLink Kai and play SOCOM, follow these steps:
- Click 'Start', navigate to 'XLink Kai' and select 'Configure Kai'
- Under 'Network Settings', click the dropdown labeled 'Network Adapter'
- Select the hardware used for your Local Area Connection (to see which one this is go back to 'Manage network connections' and look at the device name under 'Local Area Connection'
- Click 'Save' on the bottom right
- Click 'Start', navigate to 'XLink Kai' and select 'Start Kai'
- Log in with your username and password
- Click 'Game Arenas' at the top
- On the left click 'PlayStation 2'
- On the left again, now select the SOCOM of choice
- After doing this, launch the title on the PS2
- Select LAN on that title and log on using the network settings created earlier
- You should see games created by other Kai users listed in LAN
