XLINK kai is a sensitive beast and here are some pointers to keep you up to date and running smooth.. And yes Socom 2 does have more issues than Socom CA for some reason.

The link below should be copied and pasted into your command bar, this will shoot you directly into the kai engine pending user name and password. The first one is for 64 bit and the second is for 32 bit.

"C:\Program Files (x86)\XLink Kai\kaiEngine.exe" --orb ADVANCED_CHICAGO

"C:\Program Files\XLink Kai\kaiEngine.exe" --orb ADVANCED_CHICAGO

List of Orbitals is good to know, on occasion you will not see other players or rooms in the LAN lobby and you may need to switch orbitals. To do this all you have to do is change the end of the link above by removing CHICAGO and adding one of the following that works best for you. But remember to completely reboot, that is the key to all of this.

1. HONGKONG
2. TOKYO
3. LONDON
4. SYDNEY
5. OTTAWA
6. ARIZONA
7. CHICAGO "which is what I use and seem to have no issues"

If anyone is using Windows 10 or 8 you will need to download the latest version of winpcap. I would do it anyways just to have the updated hardware.. Here is the link below.

Also, the biggest issue which is easiest to fix using Xlink is completely turning off everything and rebooting.. The Xlink Kai engine likes to recognize the last time it was used and unless you restart your entire set up,, it will continue to give you errors.. If you get an error on your initial start up, fix the error.. Then reboot everything, including the PS2 which should be cut on last after a connection is established with the server you are in.

Hope this helps.
