Re: Roper or Dunham
I don't post that much because, again, I haven't been a community manager for getting close to a year now. Though I do know that HTK and Roper have answered these questions before.

We are not working on a SOCOM remake. We are not doing a SOCOM remaster. We are in the last stages of Unit 13. After that we are not talking about what are future plans are.

The one thing that I wouldn't rule out is doing something for the PlayStation 2 Classics line on PSN (games like God Hand, BloodRayne, Odin Sphere, and Maximo are already up there, for example). If you're unfamiliar with what those are, they are PS2 games available for download or play without enhancements or additions (aka, in their exact original form) much like the PS One classics are.

Something like that is a possibility, but whether or not that happens is dependant on a number of factors. But again, if it did happen that would just be a downloadable way to purchase the identical PS2 game from PSN that many of you already own.

I know these aren't the answers you want, but I'd rather tell you what I can than watch a bunch of rumors take off as though they're truth -- which I've seen happen a lot over the years even before I came to Zipper.

Hope that clears it up, if it doesn't, then there's nothing else I can add - I've told you everything I can.

I think this is about the best info we can ask for at the moment. It isn't a direct out right quote stating this is on the way, but for those like me who want a port this could be great.

People still play nintendo and their graphics are shit by today's standards. I say we should embrace this port with open arms because it's more about the experience of the game play than it is about the actual graphics. There's a sense of competition that's been lost with the new games that we would get back.

I would love a port. In my opinion this would be perfect for those who want the original formula but only own a PS3. I know my whole clan would play this again like the old days.

i wish they would release socom 2 HD. i also wish zipper would get its head out of there ass listen to the fans and stop thinking socom 4 was what we wanted. i dont have my ps2 anymore or i would be playing socom 2 daily over mw3 and the newer games. i know 60 people who would come back to gaming just because socom 2 HD was being released.
