Just posted my review on Steam

This is a tough one for me. The game lacks so many basic shooter fundamentals that I can't see myself giving it a thumbs up. I originally gave to the KS because like many others David Sears was the lead Dev and the game was promised to be the successor to Socom 2, but we all know how that went, didn't go as planned.

So far I have not seen progress that exceeds the proof of concept that was created by David Sears using UE3 which is kind of odd to me being UE3 is supposed to be last gen compared to the UE4 engine, so what happened ? The game is not up to my standards and I want what was promised to me from the KS. It may meet the standards to others here, but not mine, so understand that I'm not bashing, just disappointed in the progress.

I think the overall look of the game may catch a Socomers eye watching the videos, but the game play itself is pretty bad and the over all look of the game is not what I expected considering the game has been in development for 2 years, so please don't start in on me that the game is in EA and that's why it's in the current state of lacking. No excuse imo, should be way farther along.

In closing, I hope this game does succeed so we all get a Socomish game on the PS4, that was my only reason for donating to begin with. What's going to eat me up a bit is the PC gamers will probably tear this game alive and ruin it for guys like me who want a Socom game on the PS4. I don't want it to die on Steam, but I am not going to sugar coat this and thumbs up the game when I have always been known to tell it like is..

Sorry SOF, can't do it. Has to be a NO. Please try your best to make a fool out of me is all I ask. I will eat my words and buy 2 Copies if it makes it to the PS4.. I will even add Tom to my friends list and challenge him and SOF to Clan War. Bring it !

Fair review, I have been wanting to throw one together myself. I was trying to wait till I had more than 4 hours of time played but I am having a hard time finding the motivation to play.

I have seen reviews with less than 30 minutes. I guess if you're gonna give a down vote may be having more than 30 minutes may help keep the pack of wolves off of you.

Is it still only multi-player?

I haven't played it in awhile, but I think it is only multi-player.. They are adding more maps and different modes from what I have seen.

Unless one of those modes is a single player campaign, I'm not interested in it. I got turned off from MP in shooters a long time ago because A) it never really changes from game to game and B) computer-controlled opponents may not be the smartest, but at least they don't bitch and cry and server-ban you for liking a certain play style or weapon.
