I think Its finally dead!

-No ranked rooms.
-Have to play quick matches if you want ranked rooms.
-Lag switchers and Glitchers in respawns.
-Its just about 3 days now. And no server maintenance.
I sent a message to one of the socom forum mods asking them why they keep locking posts about lag switchers and cheaters. Basically was told that the forums are not the place to talk about that stuff anymore. Well really never was. And was given the web site to go to for reporting. lol. Like I don't already know it.
Last time I was at Game Stop guy told me the Socom 4 was done. But Sony wouldn't let it be released yet. He heard that because all the resent cheating, not only on Socom but other games, they have put it on hold. He speculated that Sony wants to get the cheating under control first. Now I don't know how true that is. But seeing the way confrontation is now, I don't know. He said that the new release date is March for Socom 4. Has anyone else heard anything else about this?

Well at least he said Sony wants to get it under Control first, that's a start I guess. I didn't play tonight and yesterday I played with my Clan and an Allied Clan we know and Socom Confrontation went ok, a little laggy but other than that it wasn't too bad. But I have witnessed first hand the lag swtiching as I have mentioned on here before.

I just don't understand it. As much stuff that goes on I still end up coming back to this game. I play the others only for a little bit. Then just get bored in such a short while. Socom is really the only game that I don't get bored of. I'm going to start getting some games from video store and renting them. Just to try them out.

I have looked for alternative shooter games to replace Socom Con before and I have rented and bought them all I think, LOL. Like you said, there is no replacing Socom. The 2 I currently like are BattleField 2 and COD MW2. I bought Lost Planet 2, Call Of Jaurez, Red Dead, MAG, Rainbow 6, Red Faction, Warhawk, Ghost Recon, Resistance, Uncharted, Killzone. The games I just posted I pulled of my gaming shelf collecting dust, LOL. And guess what I played yesterday afteroon........... PS2 Socom Combined Assault, which cost 3 dollars.... LMAO. So I know exactly what your going thru.

I have MW2. And to be honest. I have never sucked at a video game so bad! LOL. I just can't get that 1st shooter down. And after a while it makes me feel alittle sick. And I get migraine headache's. And that game gives them to me after a while. I also have Battlefield 2. But that game I just can't get into the strategic part of the game. I just get on with the clan and we mostly laugh and have fun blowing stuff up. My favorite is letting my cousin fly the helicopter while I shoot out of it and just racking up the kill count. But also 1st person.
