Revolutionary Thought Empty Revolutionary Thought

Fri Mar 04, 2011 6:55 pm
Ok, this post is not meant to offend anyone, and I realize its probably not going to be the preferred cup of tea for most members here, but, it is whats on my mind. I hope you enjoy the read...

So the world is calling for revolution... we are, without question, in need of a revolution. However, the revolution we need is not political or economic, the revolution we need is a revolution of thought that centers within the mind of each human being.

As a man with Libertarian philosophies, I see validity in wanting to challenge the current seats of power, across the board and globally. There exists today, without question, a grave imbalance in the way humanity interacts with the natural world, each other, and often within ourselves; spiritual, mentally, emotionally, and physically.

I believe this imbalance is due to the length of time we have been operating in direct conflict with the intelligent design.

So what is the end game of the available revolutionary efforts I have been propositioned with from the Islamic fundamentalists, to the communists, to the environmentalists, to the socialists, to the progressives, to the democrats, to the republicans, to the tea party?

More of the same in varying degrees.

Based on the world I see around me, non of these interests have proven to offer an abundant life experience for the whole of its participants, or those impacted by the effort.

At the ripe age of 30, I have inherited a failing theater of communities, cities, states, governments, financial systems, markets, countries, cultures, societies, along with geo deterioration, and wars that have indefinite timelines. All I here and see is opposition, threat, risk, devastation, destruction, and impending doom. Through our social mediums I am constantly inundated with selfishness, self-centeredness, negativity, and fear, and when you cut through all the bullshit, what you have left is the existence of a glaring disease.

I believe it is time to place everything on the table for audit and reassessment, taking inventory of every stock we trade; physical, intellectual, emotional and spiritual.

Communism, socialism, and democracy have had their chances and failed miserably to deliver sustainable freedom, liberty, personal rights, security, innovation, independence, balance and abundance. Through its unfortunate evolution, our constitutional/democratic Republic and its associated capitalism is also failing to deliver a sustainable balance.

So what the hell are we supposed to do?

Well, maybe we should start by working to prevent the next generation from making the same mistakes and begin to take responsibility for the ones we have created, honestly sharing with them the results of our failures. Maybe we ought to start teaching each child, constantly and throughout their lives, that they are the absolute and deliberate creators of their past, present, and future experiences. That through the power of thought and emotion they manifest their destiny, positive or negative, whether they realize it or not.

What if they understood how powerful they were created to be, and were taught how to use the tools needed to activate that power for the purpose of achieving any abundant life experience they choose. That it works for every human being 100% of the time? What if they existed in a world that supported and practiced this effort? How much different would our reality be in 3 generations? How much different would our world be next year?

Of course for this to happen, the adults in charge would need to teach the children how to use these tools. Tools the majority of us obviously do not possess.

Though I work hard, throughout my life the play I have watched has taught me how to wish and hope, always placing myself in a distant future that is contingent on someone else, circumstance, luck, chance, or being worthy enough to be blessed with what I desire. That true abundant wealth is possible, just not for me, my family, or my friends. Worse, I have been taught that I am powerless over my realities and that accepting some level of mediocrity is par for the course; that it is best to follow the herd over the ledge, rather than declare my intuition.

No one ever told me that upon birth I inherited a law that operates at my command, universally, without fail, and that mastering this law is the great key to the life I was created to experience. There was no talk of this for the better part of 30 years and to be honest, I was a little pissed off about it initially. Then I moved into listing everything I was grateful for and the negative emotion dissolved.

For as much thought and energy as we place in fighting what we don't want, or what we oppose, living in fear of the negative consequence, I discover that we in fact empower the very thing we try to avoid. We have always been and we will always be today, the result of what we have thought and felt yesterday; just as we will be its sum total tomorrow.

The truth is that turning our individual life experience around to achieve what ever positive ambition we desire, in abundance, is as simple as changing what we regularly think about. There need not exist a struggle. Our thoughts and emotions manifest into the physical by attracting to us a parallel, every time, 100% of the time. Christ knew it, Buddha knew it, Plato knew it, Einstein knew it, and Mother Teressa knew it to list a few.

So why not all of us? Ah, much has happened from the age of creation to now; revolution indeed.

By focusing, consistently, on a positive thought and faceting that thought with the positive emotions produced as a result of living in that thought, we change what is attracted to us and in turn, we change our life experience. Simple enough.

A wise man once said; "man doesn't need to know how electricity works to cook a meal, he just needs to know that the electricity can also cook the man."

As for me, I refuse to live as a victim of circumstance, powerless over the domain I am created to master. I refuse to feed into the negativity fueling our worlds imbalance, and the minds of the individuals it distracts. Scientifically, a positive thought produces 100x more power than a negative one. I am already where I see myself, and the infinite power of attraction is in effect. The universe is at my command.

I have served over 20 plus years in the Armed Service and I have seen everything from the lowest form of humanity concern to complete total dis regard for human life.

I have been part of Humanitarian missions that would make one kiss American soil as soon as you set foot on it.

I have fought against some the worlds biggest dangers to any human being "DRUGS" and have been part of the largest Cocaine bust in US history.

Humanity is takened for granted in the US because we are spoiled as a culture. Everyone IMO at a young age should join the Service and experience life.

Great post and thank you for your insightful thoughts.

We should add kudoes to this site just for this post. Perfect my friend. I sent, I believe it was you, a pm after a certain mosque post. All I ask is that please do not hold me to it. I am not a racist and didn't mean what I said, or at least most of it.

I would love to have a conversation with you one day. You seem very interesting and I think it is possible that I could learn a thing or to from you.

Great post and thank you for your insightful thoughts.

Once again I commend you, but I must partially disagree with your second to last post. While I think that it would great for a lot of people to experience that, a lot of people have to fight their whole lives just make it to that age, and have experienced more than enough life than to half to be forced to do that. Also, as we know, many people just can't handle that sort of thing, or being forced into it.

Keep fighting the good fight, and help rid our countries of those life destroying substances.

Thank you gentlemen.

This post reflects a passion of mine and I am motivated by the positive responses... at the end of the day, when the dirt covers my bones, what I hope is that I will be remembered as a person who genuinely empowered those I was able to touch, and that because of this effort, those impacted make the choice to carry it forward in those that they touch.

Each one teach one.

I am not one for Big words so let me keep it simple : (RedNeck style)

People would rather live on welfare

People believe someone always owes them something

People believe that 1 day in church a week gives them a right to be an ass the other 6 days

as said above :
spoiled !!!

And the government (as I see it) will punish those who don't spoil !

I had one person even to go as far to tell me that I am not allowed to tell my children "NO" , I can only Discourage the behavior by saying "That might not be a good thing to do" ..........REALLY???? ... WHY???? because it would lower their self esteem ...... O .. but back in the day that was called a "Reality Check"
SO NOW ... we are in a world where children don't know the word NO and then don't know how to handle it when they are 18 years of age and get a good dose of "Reality Check" .. where do they run ??? back to momma and dadda because they herd "NO"

"Let me just say I walked away from that conversation without saying a word"
WHY? because there is no way that person would have comprehended the words I wanted to say !

on another note:

I had an old friend tell me once (about 73 years of age)
"Only the people with common sense survived the old west
because the ones without where the ones that walked behind a kicking horse"

To bad there isn't a way to teach someone Common sense !!

As i read the OP and the following posts, a few simple thoughts came to mind. I have a way of taking things all the way down to the simplest form possible, and work from there. So here are a few of the "thoughts" that came to me as i read through this.

Oil.
Technology.
Marijuana.

1) It is impossible for mankind to be without "need". Everyone "needs" something, and the biggest "need" that mankind has (in this era, and those past) is Oil. This is what has the entire world both at balance and imbalance. It runs everything and without access to it, we're pretty fucked.

2) The Solution to (1) of course is the advance of technology. We can (and have) found ways around oil, but we still aren't in the age where we can make oil obsolete or, at the very least, make us less dependant on it. BUT, we are getting there, it is only a matter of time, if, of course, we don't all destroy ourselves before then.

If anyone has ever watched the TV series from a few years back Star Trek "Enterprise" which took place before the original Star Trek series' and was right as mankind was making its first real voyage out into space and to interact with other species. This, of course, is a sci-fi concept and all that but you can't help but think that it would be nice that one day mankind could all be united under one banner, humans from "Earth". Hell, if we ever reach that age, we'll be using plasmic energy and other abstract elements for fuel and energy rather than oil.

3) So like in the OP, you were talking about thinking positive and using positive energy over negative energy to drive away the negativity. Marijuana has been the "peace" between cultures since the beginning of time. It of course would be ridiculous if the world leaders were just high all the time, but having "peace talks" and discussing future courses of action would be easier if they were stoned, and at ease, telling jokes and laughing. The world can't continue when everything is a power struggle, we need positive energy to fuel good intentions.

Of all the things said in this thread, Ditch, I like what you have here and think that this is just about the most basic way to view everything, and that right there a great many problems can be fixed. Like you said, people need to stop blaming others for their actions and need to take responsibility for things.

Who am I? I'm nobody. I almost don't even exist in this world, but I do stand by codes of honor and respect for those around, regardless who they are. I've never served in the military, but if there's one thing that soldiers understand that the rest of the world needs to grasp: it's about the person standing next to you. People need to start caring about the next guy.
