TECHNOLOGY QUESTION

my brothers ps3 froze last night while playing HOME FRONT
when he turned his ps3 back on from back of ps3
he proceeded to eject the disc it didnt come out
so he pushed start button on front of ps3 (red stand by button)
it flashed YELLOW-GREEN RED and stayed on red.
Has this happened to anyone here??
if so how was it fixed?
or was it sent in to be fixed?

Yep, he has the Yellow light of death, he is going to have to send it off to a repair shop to get it fixed. I sent mine to Gopher Mods and it cost 85 dollars. Sorry to say, its screwed. Happened to me too while playing COD Black Ops.

If you do get it ficed, the FIRST thing you should do is run a backup on your system to an external drive. Or else you will lose ALL your data/information. Once you get the YLOD (yellow light of death), there's a very good chance you could get it again.

brother all links u all have post he told me its
going out in mail saturday he also told me he
has backed up his info 2weeks ago. because
he just told me he did it cause two weeks ago
his ps3 gave him a corrupt message and lost all
his saved data so once he got everything reinstated
he got external hard drive and backed up his ps3 info.
